Merchants & leads
Leads
Leads are top-of-funnel prospects. Create one with + New lead (business name, DBA, contact, source, requested amount, notes). Leads can also arrive through the API. Work them through the lead statuses and convert qualified leads into merchants + deals.
Merchants
A merchant is the business you’re funding. Create one with + New merchant, then open the detail page to complete the business profile:
- Legal name, DBA, Federal ID (EIN)
- Business type, industry, NAICS / SIC codes
- Date established (time in business), state of incorporation
- Home-based / e-commerce flags, annual revenue
- Address, email, phone, website
Owners & contacts
Add owners/guarantors under Contacts on the merchant - name, title, ownership %, and guarantor/primary flags.
People
An owner who is on several merchants is one person: People lists each once with every merchant they are on. Name, email, phone, SSN and home address belong to the person — edit them on any merchant and every merchant shows the change; title, ownership and guarantor stay per merchant. Adding a contact links to the person you pick, or to the one with the same SSN, never a copy. A person's page lists Might be the same person (same SSN, or name with a shared email or phone); Same person — link merges them. It refuses two different SSNs and two people on the same merchant. Only the last four of an SSN ever leaves the app.
Bank accounts
Each merchant has one primary account and backups in priority order. Numbers
show as •••• 1234; Show full needs view merchant bank details and every
reveal is audited. Adding, reordering and removing need edit merchant bank
accounts. Routing numbers are check-digit verified and an account already on
file is refused; a different number is a new account rather than an edit.
Removing an account moves its unsent scheduled pulls to the next one in line.
Details are stored encrypted. The primary is used for new pulls and for the
contract's ACH authorization.
Deals
The merchant detail page lists their deals and lets you start a new one pre-linked to that merchant.
